Please read before joining an online yoga class or using any of the resources on this website!
Yoga is a practice of self-care. As such, it requires that you, the practitioner, gauge the safety of each movement and practice in a way that honors your physical limitations and your individual needs. It is up to you to assess your individual readiness to join a class and your ability to perform each movement or technique.
Yoga provides many great benefits – and only you know your own body and your limits. It is important to listen to your body at all times and to practice according to your needs in each moment! If at any time you feel discomfort or strain, gently come out of the posture. It is important to always listen to your body and to work only within your personal limitations. Yoga practice can be challenging at times, but it should never be painful. If something is not right for you – for any reason – do not do it! You may stop practicing and rest at any time.
Not all exercises, movements, yoga postures, etc. are suitable for all persons. If you suffer from specific injuries or disease, it is best to consult with your doctor first. These classes are not suitable during pregnancy. If you are pregnant and would like to try yoga, I recommend contacting a specialized pregnancy yoga teacher or studio. You can also discuss private sessions with me.
Stop immediately and consult your physician if you feel dizzy, faint, light-headed, or if you experience any discomfort. Only you can monitor your condition. You are responsible for practicing yoga within your limits and seeking attention and advice as appropriate. Never force or strain.
Be sure to practice yoga in a safe space! It is recommended that you practice yoga in a large, well-lit area that is free from obstacles and that you wear comfortable clothing that does not inhibit movement.
